Treatment of Interface Fluid Syndrome after Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis with Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty in Three Patients with Corneal Endothelial Dysfunction

چکیده

Abstract Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) has become a first-line treatment in corneal endothelial diseases owing to its exceptional clinical outcomes and low complication rates. Thanks refractive predictability the ability reshape superficial cornea, DMEK is now also considered for managing cases with decompensation following previous procedures. This article reviews of three patients Interface Fluid Syndrome (IFS), laser-assisted situ keratomileusis (LASIK) which failure can play major role.

Sterile corneal melt after descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty in patients with previously undiagnosed Sjogren syndrome.

Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK) is an alternative to penetrating keratoplasty in the surgical management of endothelial disorders. The major advantage of DSEK over penetrating keratoplasty is that the integrity of the anterior cornea is largely maintained in DSEK. Hence, patients undergoing DSEK have a lower risk of complications such as suprachoroidal hemorrhage and postoper...

[Excimer laser assisted Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty in iridocorneal endothelial syndrome].

CASE REPORT A 42 year-old female diagnosed with essential iris atrophy complained of visual decrease in the right eye. Examination revealed moderate corneal oedema, folds in Descemet's membrane, polycoria, corectopia, and iris atrophy. Excimer laser assisted Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty was performed, with a good corneal transparency and a significant visual improvement being obt...

Repeat Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty

Purpose: To evaluate the outcomes of secondary Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) after failed primary DMEK. Design: Retrospective, interventional case series. Participants: Fifty-five DMEK recipients 42 to 89 years of age. Methods: An initial consecutive series of 1655 DMEK surgeries was reviewed to identify cases of secondary DMEK after failed primary DMEK (n 1⁄4 55). A paired ...

Penetrating keratoplasty for corneal ectasia after laser in situ keratomileusis.

PURPOSE To improve the visual acuity of patients with progressive keratectasia following laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK). METHODS Five eyes of four patients underwent penetrating keratoplasty for ectasia after LASIK: In one patient the second eye was operated on 10 months after the first keratoplasty. The pre- and postoperative refraction, best spectacle-corrected visual acuity, and topo...
